Haas refreshes its Toolroom Mill series

Aug. 25, 2021
The smallest machines in the series, the TM-0 and TM-0P, sport an entirely new design, from top to bottom.

TM-0 and TM-0P Twenty years after the introduction of its successful ToolRoom Mill series of three-axis CNC machines, Haas has updated the series with two models that mark a complete redesign that the company says has simplified and improved every part. The TM-0 model can hold a single tool, while the TM-0P (P for “Production”) model has a 10-pocket automatic tool changer, a faster spindle, and faster rapids [the speed of the machine’s axes during non-cutting moves]. Otherwise, both models share almost all features, including the use of standard 40-taper tooling.

What’s new? The TM-0 and TM-0P — the smallest machines in the series.

Benefits Affordability and ease of use. The new models feature the precision control of the Haas CNC system, with a conversational programming system that is easy to learn and operate, even for operators who don’t know G-code programming. These machines, especially the TM-0P with its increased capabilities, are well-suited to toolrooms that need to build or modify fixtures quickly, as second-operation machines to complete parts or molds. They are also a great choice to provide in-house training without tying up a production machine, and their small footprint makes it easy to find space for one within a facility.
