Heated sprue bushings PCS offers a variety of sprue bushings, which accept the machine nozzle and allow for plastic to enter the mold from an injection molding machine.
What’s new? New 0.5- and 0.75-inch heated sprue bushing assemblies made from H-13 steel, available in three flow diameters, two head styles and two gate styles to suit a broad range of applications. The bushings’ integrally heated design features a replaceable thermocouple near the flow channel to optimize processing conditions for all thermoplastics. They have a maximum operating temperature of 600 degrees Fahrenheit.
Benefits Superior heat transfer when processing a wide range of commodity resins in small to medium volumes. With a streamlined flow channel that terminates in a reverse-taper gate, the bushings provide for minimum pressure loss and allow rapid gate freeze. They contribute to improved part strength and shorter hold times, with no increase in sink marks.
