Robotiq's AX series uses Universal Robots cobots with a seventh axis that acts as a linear transfer system.

AX-series palletizing cobots Available through Robotiq, these systems use Universal Robots with Robotiq’s Copilot materials-handling software to perform palletizing applications. To extend their vertical reach, the cobots have a seventh axis that acts as a linear transfer system. With the Copilot software, workers can set up cobot palletizing tasks by entering box dimensions and weight, pallet dimensions and pallet pattern. The software can store hundreds of recipes for SKUs and pallet sizes.

What’s new? The AX20 and AX30, which Robotiq recently introduced.

Benefits Increased payloads and simple automation of palletizing tasks. The AX series is compact. Robotiq also says its AX series provides higher reach and faster cycle times than any comparable palletizing system.
