Basic bulk filler This filler from Flexicon loads bulk solid materials, such as recycled resin pellets, into intermediate bulk containers (IBCs). Using a forklift, the unit’s head can be raised or lowered and then secured in place to minimize clearance between the dust hood and IBCs ranging from 4 feet to 6.5 feet tall. The standard frame is carbon steel and rated for loads up to 6,500 pounds, with an industrial coating and stainless steel for all contact surfaces. It can also be ordered in all-stainless construction to meet industrial or sanitary standards.
What’s new? This basic bulk filler, which can load a wide range of IBCs, including bulk boxes, gaylords, totes and other rectangular bins.
Benefits Dust-free filling. A fill-head port can be vented to a filter sock to contain dust, or users can attach a central baghouse that boosts dust containment by causing a clear, flexible skirt to vacuum seal to the exterior of the container. The material can be densified and stabilized during filling with the addition of a vibratory deck, and load cells can be added to signal for material flow to be cut off when the load reaches a programmed weight.
