Cold Jet improves dry ice blaster

I3 MicroClean 2 Cold Jet offers a range of dry ice particle blasting equipment used to clean molds and dies as well as for deflashing/deburring plastic molded parts prior to painting or coating. Cold Jet’s i3 MicroClean 2 (MC2) can accommodate dry ice in multiple forms, from traditional blocks to 3mm pellets. It features a 7-inch LCD screen with an intuitive HMI display that gives users full control over blasting parameters and machine settings. It is programmable and password-protected to limit, when desired, operator access to process parameters.

What’s new? Larger internal piping. The piping has been increased from its previous 3/8 inch to 0.5 inch in diameter, allowing for faster and better cleaning results.

The MC2 works with the company’s Cold Jet Connect Industry 4.0 subscription service, which has various tiers that can provide remote monitoring and assistance and machine documentation, and record and report cleaning analytics times and cleaning costs. Firmware updates and improvements can be performed over-the-air automatically. The MC2’s body is constructed of stainless steel on a rigid aluminum frame, and an internal drawer provides storage for accessories such as extension tubes, angled nozzles and adapters.
