It is preprogrammed for use with steel, aluminum and copper, and users can simply select the program with the optimal weld pulse and time lapse for their required mold repair operation. It comes with an adjustable, magnetic 10X microscope with integrated LED lighting, a set of 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1 mm electrodes, electrode sharpener, ground cables and argon gas regulator. Made by Gesswein, a German company based in the U.S. in Bridgeport, Conn., the welder is available through PCS. It retails for about $13,000.
