The FreeScan Combo has scanning modes that include a single laser line, 17 parallel laser lines and 26 laser lines.

FreeScan Combo The latest addition to Shining 3D’s FreeScan UE series of 3D scanners, the FreeScan Combo can be used for metrology-grade inspection, fine scanning and reverse-engineering tasks for sectors like additive manufacturing and mold production. It comes with free, user-friendly software that makes importing data to common 3D inspection and design software more efficient.

What’s new? The Freescan Combo, which combines blue-laser and infrared light sources, and can easily measure black or reflective surfaces.

Benefits Versatility and improved ergonomics. The FreeScan Combo provides multiple scanning modes, using a single laser line to capture 3D data from narrow areas, such as holes; seven parallel laser lines for scanning fine detail; 26 laser lines for scanning large areas; and an infrared mode to scan feature-rich workpieces without the need to set markers. The scanner is compact and lightweight, reducing the risk of user fatigue.
