Mitsubishi Electric's Melfa Assista collaborative robot has a simple control panel on the robot arm, instead of a separate teach box.

Melfa Assista Mitsubishi Electric’s new collaborative robot series for manufacturing applications has a simple control panel on the robot arm, instead of the separate teach box that is typical on industrial robots. A bright LED on the arm changes color to clearly indicate the cobot’s operational status. Various certified peripheral devices such as electric grippers and cameras can be connected easily. 

What’s new? The Melfa Assista cobots, and their RT VisualBox software.  

Benefits Simplified setup and operation. Together, the cobots and software allow users to set up robotic systems quickly and economically. The simple design of the control panel allows inexperienced users to easily set up the system. Additionally, the cobots can improve manufacturing efficiency.
