Drymax The dry-air dryers in this Wittmann line are each equipped with two desiccant beds to supply continuous dry process air and constant quality. They are designed for optimized control of drying and energy savings. To protect material, they lower drying temperatures during production stoppages. Options include a dew-point sensor, return air cooler, microparticle filter and versions especially for high temperature.
What’s new? A new line, the Drymax Plus portable dryers, appropriate for operations with small- to medium-sized material throughputs. Unlike the Drymax dryers, they are equipped with Wittmann’s Plus control. They are the company’s first dual-desiccant bed dryers to offer compatibility with the next-generation Industry 4.0 system, called W4.0 system, joining the company’s Aton Plus wheel dryers in boasting that functionality. Equipped with OPC-UA protocols, the dryers are capable of automated data exchange. They feature a 7.5-inch touch-screen user interface. Users can store drying parameters in an integrated material database or load them when they prepare a new batch, so the right settings are immediately achieved. An LED display gives operators information about current process status.
Benefits Ease of use and simple control over the drying process. Compared with the more basic Drymax dryers, the Drymax Plus dryers offer more intuitive control and simpler menu navigation. Also, they can be spec’d out with an integrated control to manage conveying of material into the drying hopper, and from the drying hopper to the user’s machine.
