Wittmann Aton Plus dryers are now more efficient

The EcoDrive feature adjusts dry air output to match material requirements.

Aton plus The segmented wheel dryers in this Wittmann series come with a 5.7-inch touch screen and have a variety of features, including dew-point management and a material saver function. The user-settable dew-point management function automatically adjusts the regeneration temperature to achieve maximum energy savings, while the material saver function lowers the drying temperature as appropriate to prevent over-drying and resin degradation. Meanwhile, the dryers’ AmbiLED control bezel uses colored lights to signal operating mode and dryer status.

What’s new? Availability of Wittmann’s EcoDrive feature, a frequency inverter regulation system that adjusts dry air output to match current material requirements.

Benefits User-friendliness and energy-efficiency. With EcoDrive, the Aton dryers can maintain a constant dew point of minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit regardless of environmental conditions, while achieving additional savings in energy consumption. Compared with standard operation without EcoMode, where the segmented wheel rotates without interruption and must be regenerated continuously, the dryer’s energy requirements are significantly reduced without any effect on the drying performance.
