Rethink Robotics launches AMR line

The Rethink Ryder comes in two weight capacities and employs safety and mapping technologies.

Rethink Ryder This Rethink Robotics line of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) includes the light-duty MRE 550 and heavy-duty MRE 1400, with names that describe the weight, in kilograms, they can handle. Both robots come with an integrated lift function. The AMRs can perform a variety of tasks moving loads and containers.  

What’s new? The AMRs, which debuted in September at the International Manufacturing Technology Show. 

Benefits Efficiency, flexibility and convenience. To ensure safety, the compact AMRs are equipped with multiple detection technologies to identify and respond to changes anywhere around them, allowing them to navigate the workplace independently. A simultaneous location and mapping (SLAM) system provides environmental visualization for plotting their routes, identifying pallets and moving around obstacles.
