DX800 Sonics & Materials’ newest DX-series OEM DSP (Digital Signal Processor) power supply for welders, the Model DX800, has an LED bar graph that displays error status and lets operators easily monitor time and energy settings. Users can choose from USB, Ethernet I/P and PLC I/O communication protocols to configure or log data, and they can implement predictive maintenance and machine learning algorithms.
What’s new? The DX800, which the company will introduce at NPE.
Benefits Energy savings, higher throughput and advanced data capture and control. The DX800’s DSP-controlled power supply can scan the ultrasonic stack of difficult ultrasonic horns, such as those with irregular or nonsymmetrical shape, multiple frequencies, or wear from long-term use and difficult applications. By doing so, the DX800 can determine the optimal starting frequency and increase welding success. It also offers start modes such as “last frequency” mode and user-defined mode, which can automatically adjust for high load conditions.
