Riverdale Gravimetric System updates controller

RGS Riverdale Global’s Riverdale Gravimetric System (RGS) is a sealed delivery system for dosing liquid color and additives for injection molding, blow molding and extrusion applications. It can hold color delivery tolerance to within 0.1 percent and prevents over-coloring.  

What’s new? Updates to the controller. It now has an optional bar-code scanner or RFID reader to automatically read process settings and avoid operator error. A USB port gives it the ability to download data, print out data and update software.  Also, the touch-screen interface now allows for quick access to process settings such as throughput, shot size and weight per gallon, while the system automatically adjusts to screw recovery time and extruder output. 

Benefits Reduced costs, and the maintenance of target color levels. Users can easily save current settings and recipes, eliminating the risk of input error. The RGS can display metering rates onscreen in real time, as well as offer graphical performance reporting. The system can automatically recalibrate to new colors, so no additional setup is required. The system also communicates with the company’s GlobalTracker color management software to track usage and color by work orders, operator IDs and lot numbers.
