BFF-series bulk bag discharger This new bulk bag discharger from Flexicon is designed to control dust and to optimize bag emptying without requiring human intervention. It has features that simplify the loading process, including a removable bag-lifting frame that can be held by a forklift so a worker can attach the palletized bulk bag’s straps while at a comfortable standing height, then lifted into top-mounted cradle cups. The clean side of the spout connects to the clean side of the equipment with the Spout-Lock clamp ring, which is positioned atop the Tele-Tube telescoping tube. Multiple features promote material flow: The pneumatically actuated tube lowers to maintain steady downward tension on the bag as it empties, while Flow-Flexer bag activators raise and lower opposite bottom edges of the bag at timed intervals to loosen compacted materials. The unit is constructed of carbon steel with durable industrial finish, or in stainless steel finished to sanitary or industrial standards.
What’s new? The bulk bag dischargers.
Benefits Dust-free operation. The new bulk bag discharger prevents dust from contaminating the product and plant environment. Options include a rotary airlock valve with flow-through pick-up adapter, which allows for controlled metering into pressure and vacuum systems, and the spring-loaded Pop-Top frame posts, which promote material flow by raising the cradle cups and stretch the bag as it gets lighter.
