Spectrophotometer handles bright, glossy parts

Feb. 5, 2025
The spectro2go XS is the smallest in Byk-Gardner's line and offers rapid, accurate color quality control.

spectro2go XS This hand-held Byk-Gardner spectrophotometer provides color measurement with digital standards, even of bright or glossy parts.

What’s new? The spectro2go XS, which has been specially made with a small aperture for measurement of small parts. Based on the spectro2guide, introduced in 2018, the device features the new, built-in dE Fl fluorimeter, which predicts how much a fluorescent sample might change due to exposure to sunlight.

Benefits Cost-effective, accurate and rapid color quality control of small, bright parts. The spectro2go XS’ dE Fl index overcomes a challenge that’s bedeviled the plastics industry for decades — the quality control of fluorescent materials. Also, plastic parts often are too small for accurate measurement by other spectrophotometers. To ensure precise positioning and prevent false readings, the spectro2go XS features an integrated camera that shows a live preview of the measurement spot. The fluorimeter is particularly useful for manufacturers of optically brightened plastics such as white plastic window frames.
