Cobots ABB’s GoFa family of cobots has models that are well-suited to a range of tasks, including material handling, machine tending, component assembly, packaging, inspection and laboratory automation.
What’s new? The GoFa 10 and GoFa 12, which can handle payloads of 22 pounds and 26.4 pounds, respectively.
Benefits Higher payloads and best-in-class reach. The company said the GoFa 10’s 5.3-foot reach is 14 percent longer than other cobots in its class, and sufficient to work with U.S. pallets. GoFa cobots are user-friendly, and ABB’s Wizard programming software makes deployment, programming and use of the cobots simple – even for first-time users. The GoFa family also has energy-saving features, such as power regeneration and brake energy recovery, that can cut power demand by as much as 20 percent.
