AD wheel dryers AEC’s new wheel dryers have throughputs from 50 to 400 pounds per hour, with larger models available by request. They feature drying temperatures of up to 356 degrees Fahrenheit, with a constant and adjustable dew point as low as minus 58 degrees Fahrenheit. A 7-inch high-resolution touch screen provides precision control and easy tracking of relevant data, such as drying temperature, dew point, material throughput and total energy consumption.
What’s new? The AD series, which is available in three styles — the ADP, ADW and ADC. The series serves as a direct replacement for AEC’s earlier NGX- and RDX-series dryers.
Benefits Precise, high-performance moisture removal and energy savings. The Smart Mode technology available on all AD-series dryers monitors the temperatures of both the process and return air, automatically reducing airflow once the temperatures are consistent and the material is completely dry, protecting against over-drying and resin degradation, as well as providing energy savings of 40 percent or more. Options include a weekly timer, integrated or external dew-point sensor, integration with Industry 4.0 equipment and a biomaterial version for drying temperatures below 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The dryers require no compressed air or cooling water.
