SMARTmix TOP 7000 Pro Elmet manufactures a range of auxiliary equipment for injection molding of two-component liquid silicone rubber (LSR). Its LSR dosing systems can handle both 55-gallon drums and 5-gallon containers. Their bases are built with three sides open, giving operators 180-degree access, and low-friction surfaces simplify loading of material drums.
What’s new? The SMARTmix TOP 7000 Pro LSR dosing system, which is a complete update of Elmet’s previous leading model, the TOP 5000 P. The system has an output of up to 2.5 liters per minute per pump outlet and can handle up to six additives. It includes a new pump unit. Also new is Elmet’s optional premium connectivity package, which includes an app, web portal and remote support.
Benefits Process reliability and precision. The system’s new pump unit S minimizes the amount of material in the system, reducing the amount that needs to be purged. It also provides material utilization rates of up to 99.6 percent per drum. Casters are also an option that can be added to the platform for ease of mobility for the compact system, which has a footprint of 3.8 feet by 2.6 feet.
