The Tempro basic Large 120 is targeted at large and heavy injection molds and combines a 36-kilowatt heating capacity with high flow rates.

Tempro basic Large 120 Wittmann Battenfeld has targeted large and heavy injection molds with this new temperature controller that combines a 36-kilowatt (kW) heating capacity with high flow rates for the mold cooling channels. It uses a direct-cooling system for the mold water. Available as an option is a stainless-steel vortex flow-measurement device that can handle from 5.3 gallons to 106 gallons per minute.

What’s new? The temperature controller and its optional new frequency-controlled pump, the SpeedDrive. With an output of 4 kW, it can pump up to 79 gallons per minute and generate a maximum pressure of 5 bar. The SpeedDrive pump allows users to set parameters such as motor speed, flow rate, pump pressure and differential temperature for optimized process stability.

Benefits Efficient temperature regulation. The Tempro basic Large 120’s high heating capacity ensures optimal mold heating times, which is especially important when fast heating is required. Additionally, the SpeedDrive pump saves energy because it generally can operate under partial load to meet process parameters.
