The Automotive Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is moving its Automotive Innovation Awards event to Laurel Manor in Livonia, Mich., after the closure of the previously scheduled venue, Burton Manor, where the event was held for many years. The 53rd annual gala is Nov. 13.
“We are looking forward to celebrating innovation in automotive plastics at the Laurel Manor and confident that our attendees will enjoy the event at its new location,” said Jeffrey Helms, global automotive director, Celanese and SPE Automotive Innovation Awards Gala Chair.
SPE’s Automotive Innovation Awards Program is the oldest and largest competition of its kind in the world. Teams made up of OEMs, tier suppliers and polymer producers submit nominations describing their part, system or complete vehicle and why it merits the title of Most Innovative Use of Plastics. Funds raised support SPE educational efforts and technical seminars.
