UltraDyne 3DT’s UltraDyne is a corona generator and electrode system used to improve the adhesion of ink on cups, tubs and tubes during high-speed printing processes. Corona discharge modifies the chemical structure of polymers, creating hydrophilic surfaces that permit the secure bonding of printing inks and coatings. The system also is appropriate for treating plastic film for packaging and labels, treating webs up to 3.3 feet wide and other extrusion applications, such as siding. It is especially suited for drinkware, stadium cups and margarine tubs. System components include a corona generator, an internal HV transformer, a corona blade electrode, an optional ozone filtration system and a touch-screen control system.
