Chillers Delta T Systems’ line of industrial, variable-speed process chillers provides process cooling for a variety of manufacturing applications. They come in air-cooled, water-cooled, packaged and portable models and offer a wide range of cooling capacities.

What’s new? Variable frequency drives (VFDs). The company now can equip its entire industrial chiller product line with VFDs to control the pump motor and thereby control the delivery flow rates and water pressures. VFDs vary the frequency and voltage of the power supplied to the motor to provide steady operating speeds and soft motor starts and to control speed ramp-ups, ramp-downs and stops. Additionally, the drives enable new remote management features, such as the ability to control pressure based on input from a remote sensor. This sensor can be mounted anywhere in the process where pressure is best measured. The user can set all process parameters on the chiller’s HMI or remotely through one of a variety of communication protocols.

Benefits Efficiency. Chillers outfitted with the drives significantly reduce electrical power consumption, lowering operating costs. Additionally, the soft motor starts they provide can greatly reduce or eliminate shock-induced mechanical stress on and failure of piping and system components.
