VR-5000 series These new wide-area 3-D measurement systems from Keyence can measure a part’s form, contour and roughness in as little as 1 second. They scan an entire surface to reliably measure any point on an object and can capture a dense data set over an entire area. They also can measure multiple targets simultaneously, and they can be used to compare parts directly to a CAD model.
What’s new? The VR-5000 series, which became available late last year. The series consists of the VR-5200 and the VR-5100 models. The VR-5200 comes with a motorized stage and built-in artificial intelligence that enables place-and-measure capability. It has a measurement area of 7.9 inches by 3.9 inches. The VR-5100 has a manual stage and a measurement area of 3.5 inches by 3.3 inches.
