Goldenrod Corp. announced it has promoted Matthew Newsom to the newly created position of OEM manager. Based in Beacon Falls, Conn., Goldenrod is a manufacturer and supplier of winding tools including shafts and chucks for the paper, plastics, film and foil converting industries.
Newsom has more than 30 years of experience in the printing and converting industry and has worked at Goldenrod for the past 13 years. Prior to working at Goldenrod, he owned his own printing business, and worked for industry leaders including Berry Plastics and FlexCon.
Goldenrod created this new position to better service the company’s increased business with the OEM market, according to David Sullivan, Goldenrod’s VP of sales. Through Newsom, OEM customers will now have a direct link to Goldenrod’s engineering staff and resources.
