Windmöller & Hölscher is expanding its warehouse and office spaces at its North American facility in Lincoln, R.I.
The warehouse addition of 12,000 square feet will double the space for storing and processing spare parts, allowing the company to stock more parts and ensure faster service. The company said the expansion is ahead of schedule and will be completed in early February.
The second phase of the project will add 5,600 square feet of office space, which is expected to be ready by late spring, followed by renovation of the current office space.
The company is also adding photovoltaic panels to power nearly all of its electricity needs, including the HVAC system in the office spaces, and installing charging stations for electric vehicles.
Based in Lengerich, Germany, Windmöller & Hölscher manufactures packaging machinery, including blown and cast film lines.
