Cooling system raises outputs of Reifenhäuser blown film lines

March 23, 2022
The lines for making film for form-fill-seal bags that hold heavy goods can achieve throughputs of more than 1,300 pounds per hour with the new cooling system.

EVO FFS Reifenhäuser Blown Film’s EVO FFS blown film lines produce five-layer film for form-fill-seal bags that hold heavy goods, such as foods, petrochemical products and agriculture products. All EVO FFS lines are equipped with Reifenhäuser EVO extruders and die heads for optimized melt quality at very low melt temperatures. The lines are characterized by flexible configuration, high outputs, user-friendliness and reliable production.

What’s new? A high-performance cooling system, the Ultra Cool 2.0 FFS. Featuring high-precision, flow-optimized components, the cooling system is appropriate for use with common resin formulations and can process recycled resins. Reifenhäuser is selling EVO FFS blown film lines outfitted with the new cooling system under the name EVO Ultra Cool 2.0 FFS.

Benefits Very high throughputs of more than 1,300 pounds per hour. The enhanced lines maintain optimum film properties and thickness tolerances while achieving outputs about 10 percent greater than conventional EVO FFS lines. Additionally, they are designed for long service life and easier machine startup and provide an attractive return on investment.
