LayDown Master assists with foam slabstock production

Aug. 21, 2024
The Cannon Viking device provides even distribution of PU across the foaming conveyor prior to reaction.

LayDown Master This Cannon Viking flexible foam distribution device kit is designed for use by PU slabstock foam manufacturers with Liquid Laydown or Maxfoam Trough machines. It features an easily adjustable slot that is wide enough to allow for the use of very viscous formulations and solid fillers, which are key to consistent quality. Compatible with continuous, flexible foam block production technologies and suitable for almost all existing foam production lines, the LayDown Master can work with continuous foaming machines from both Cannon and its competitors. It is suitable for low-pressure, partial high-pressure and high-pressure technologies and retrofittable on existing equipment.

What’s new? The LayDown Master, which was introduced at the start of this year.

Benefits Effectiveness and convenience. The LayDown Master is particularly suitable for highly reactive foam grades and provides even distribution of PU across the width of a foaming conveyor prior to reaction, without producing pinholes or buildup. It delivers regular cell structure across the block. With only minimal impact on the production and machinery, users can install the LayDown Master on existing production lines quickly. With the technology, users don’t need a traversing mixing head. Also, it allows for a quick change of grade and color, shortening the transition phase between foam grades, reducing the amount of scrap foam and thus saving valuable raw materials.
