Davis-Standard LLC has chosen Giovanni Spitale to be its new CEO. Spitale comes to Davis-Standard after serving as VP of commercial parts with Boeing Global Services, where he was responsible for profit and loss management as well as strategic direction for the commercial aircraft and engine part businesses in the company’s $4 billion portfolio. Before that, he served as president of customer service and support with Milacron.
Spitale replaces former CEO Jim Murphy, who has been elected vice chairman of the company’s board of directors. Others newly elected to the board include Brian Marston, Bill Barker and John McGrath.
Headquartered in Pawcatuck, Conn., Davis-Standard designs and manufactures extruders for a broad range of uses.
