Davis-Standard unveils compact extruder for coating tasks

Feb. 8, 2022
The CHP has a smaller footprint and weighs less than previous machines while providing higher output rates.

CHP Davis-Standard’s latest extruder is suitable for a range of extrusion coating applications and comes in barrel sizes ranging from 2 inches to 3.9 inches. It is characterized by efficient mixing and consistent pressures and melt temperatures.

What’s new? The CHP extruder, which has a smaller footprint and weighs less than previous technologies. It also features output rates that are 80 percent to 100 percent higher than conventional extruders.

Benefits Performance and space savings. Davis-Standard designed the CHP to reduce raw material loss and improve output. Additionally, shorter residence times with faster purges allow for quick material and color changeovers, minimizing raw material loss.
