Extruder supplier Battenfeld-Cincinnati, headquartered in Vienna, made two significant personnel announcements this fall:

• Johannes Schwarz, who spent the last 18 years in various roles with blow molding machinery manufacturer Bekum Maschinenfabrik Gesellschaft mbH, has been named Battenfeld-Cincinnati's new managing director.

• André Wieczorek, whose plastics career includes positions in both business and academia, joined the company as chief technology officer.

"Vienna is the Battenfeld-Cincinnati competence center for PVC processing with its main focus on pipe, profile and board extrusion lines as well as [wood-plastic and natural fiber composites] processing equipment," said Gerold Schley, CEO of BC Extrusion Holding, Battenfeld-Cincinnati's parent company. "For the general and technical management of the facility, we have found two managers with excellent references from the plastics industry to drive further development of our products and the facility."
