    NFM extruders feature new side feeder technology

    NFM Welding Engineers is offering new side feeder technology for its TEM co-rotating intermeshing twin-screw extruders.

    What's new?  A fine mesh filtration system, which evacuates air from low bulk density fillers such as 3-micron talc. 

    Benefits  More side feeding capabilities. Standard conveying and feeding methods introduce air into the material, affecting the flow and feed of fillers, restricting free volume, reducing polymer melt temperature and increasing specific energy requirements. Eliminating air allows feeding of low bulk density fillers at more than 40 percent of the total compound formulation without curtailing production rates.
