New sealing system prevents mold leaks

SealStar KraussMaffei has introduced a new sealing system for use with molds for PU back-foaming applications. The system's inflatable silicone rubber end and connection pieces prevent PU from leaking from the mold. KraussMaffei also offers an option for electronically monitoring the seals for leaks using a flow sensor.

What's new? The patent-pending system, which has been field tested by customers since May and was introduced at K 2016.

Benefits Tight, cost-effective seals and easy installation. The seal end and connection pieces are less expensive to use than conventional mechanical systems and can be replaced quickly and easily without special tools.
