3DC Dyeformer Manufacturers of parts printed by selective-laser-sintering and Multi Jet Fusion processes can use this tank to dye them in batches, leaving the parts with a jet-black matte finish.
What’s new? The 3DC Dyeformer, originally built for in-house use by 3DChimera, which provides 3D printing and scanning services. The company announced the commercial availability of the technology in September at IMTS in Chicago.
Benefits Ease of use in creating a professional finish. The 3DC Dyeformer comes pre-programmed with the ideal temperature, flow rate and time to dye PA 12 parts. Users simply drop the parts in the 3DC Dyeformer’s basket, press a button and let the system do the rest, eliminating the mess and fuss associated with in-house dyeing methods. Once dyed, parts have a finish comparable to what’s achievable with injection molding.
