Arburg debuts smaller Freeformer

Feb. 11, 2025
The 550-3X 3D printer is more affordable and can process a wide range of granules.

Freeformer 550-3X Arburg’s latest 3D printer model includes the company’s latest technology for processing a wide range of plastic granules.

What’s new? The Freeformer 550-3X, which debuted at Formnext 2024 and is available to order now for summer delivery.

Benefits The new machine, with a build chamber measuring 9 inches by 9 inches by 9 inches, is slightly smaller and more affordable than the Freeformer 750-3X. It will replace the Freeformer 200-3X. The Freeformer 550-3X may be of particular interest to users in the medical technology sector. At Formnext 2024, for example, resorbable implants made from an Arburg original medical material were on display. The most significant addition is the new Gestica control system, which simplifies working with the machine and enables non-experts to additively manufacture components in a reliable, error-free process and to a high standard of quality.
