4070 HDP Italian manufacturer Wasp srl's new large-format delta-style industrial printer uses standard resin pellets. Its insulated build chamber can maintain a temperature of up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, providing an environment optimized for printing standard, engineering or recycled thermoplastics, while isolating most of its machinery from damaging heat. PicoSolutions Group is the North American distributor of Wasp printers.

What’s new? The 4070 HDP, Wasp’s first 3D printer to print with standard resin pellets.

Benefits Fast, lower-cost printing. Users can print with pellets for approximately one-tenth the price of printing with filaments. The 4070 HDP also can use up to 100 percent recycled materials. It offers Industry 4.0 capabilities, with a wi-fi module that allows for remote monitoring and control. Its Vacuum Active Control retention system holds the printing plate securely to prevent any micro-moves during printing that can introduce imperfections. The printer is available at a base price of about $22,000.
