3D Sprint 3D Systems' exclusive software helps users prepare and optimize design data for its 3-D printers, which can be used to create prototypes and short-run injection molds. Included at no additional charge with the company's new 3-D printers, the software provides automated tools to repair data, and optimize part quality and printer build space.
What's new? Version 2.0, available initially with all new ProJet 1200 and ProJet MJP 2500 series printers. The latest version includes new tools for manipulating, editing and preparing 3-D models. With the tools, users have access to new functions for part splitting, cutting and keying; offsetting, shelling and thickening; part grouping, triangle reduction and part quality checks. 3D Systems expects to release versions of the software to support all of its 3-D plastics printers later this year.
Benefits Printing efficiency. The software makes 3-D printing easier and faster, and improves part quality.
