3D Systems announced it has entered into agreements to acquire two 3D printer OEMs.
Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Titan Additive LLC (Titan Robotics Ltd.) designs and manufactures large-format industrial 3D printers, while Munich-based Kumovis specializes in 3D printers for precision printing of high-performance, medical-grade polymers.
3D Systems said adding Titan will strengthen its polymer additive manufacturing solutions portfolio in markets such as foundries, consumer goods, service bureaus, transportation, motorsports, aerospace, defense and general manufacturing. Meanwhile, the addition of Kumovis lets the company expand into the personalized healthcare market.
3D Systems, Rock Hill, S.C., manufactures metal and polymer 3-D printers and develops materials, software and services for the industry.
