Nordson’s EDI brand celebrates 50th anniversary

Its new headquarters in Chippewa Falls, Wis., has 145,000 square feet of space.

Nordson Corp.’s EDI brand, known for its flat dies for film, sheet and coatings, marked the 50th anniversary of its founding. Nordson acquired the company, which was originally known as Extrusion Dies Inc., in 2012. It began in Chippewa Falls, Wis., as a five-person machine shop, and has grown to support 350 employees.

In 2020, Nordson completed construction of EDI’s new 145,000-square-foot world headquarters in Chippewa Falls, which includes manufacturing, engineering, aftermarket support and R&D operations. Nordson, based in Westlake, Ohio, manufactures a wide range of products and components for extrusion and injection molding.
