Arburg buys German RepRap

Arburg, Lossburg, Germany, has bolstered its position in the additive manufacturing field with its acquisition of 3-D printer German RepRap GmbH, Feldkirchen, Germany. Arburg’s Freeformer line uses standard resin pellets to produce parts, and the company sees German RepRap’s printers, which use fused-filament fabrication and liquid additive manufacturing technology, as complementary.  Arburg said its ownership will not change how German RepRap, which has 23 employees, operates.
