BinMaster is launching a wireless system for monitoring resin inventory.

Inventory monitoring system BinMaster is launching a wireless system for monitoring resin inventory.  It uses a battery-powered laser level sensor with a long-range (LoRa) transceiver that sends data to a LoRa modem connected to a local wireless gateway. The data is transferred instantly to the cloud via a cellular or Ethernet network and can be accessed from any internet-ready device using the company's BinView web-based tank monitoring and alert app. The wireless system allows users to measure the contents of multiple silos up to 60 feet tall at one or multiple locations. The system is appropriate for measuring the level of resin pellets, flakes or powders.

What's new? The system, which BinMaster will be demonstrating in its booth. It will be commercially available later this year.

Benefits Convenience, accuracy and cost savings. The laser level sensor runs for three years on a single battery and eliminates the need for an outside power source and wiring costs. Wireless communications simplify installation. Also, the system provides a high degree of accuracy, even in dusty environments, and allows companies to securely share inventory data within the organization or with vendors. Users can conveniently sort silos by resin type, location and alarm status.
