Weima's new WKS series of general-purpose, single-shaft shredders is designed to shred voluminous objects, tear-resistant fibers and film.

WKS Weima's new series of general-purpose, single-shaft shredders is designed to shred voluminous objects, tear-resistant fibers and film. Depending on the application, the machines are available with either hydraulic or power-belt drive. Various screen sizes are available in the material discharge area, and screen segments can be changed individually. The shredders come with Siemens PLC control panels. They are suitable to run stand-alone or as part of a plastic recycling line.

What's new? The series, which is making its U.S. debut at NPE2018 with the display of a WKS 1800. The WKS 1400 and WKS 2200 complete the series.

Benefits Compact, easy-to-maintain design. A newly material feeding system replaces Weima's traditional horizontal ram with a swing ram guided by rolls positioned inside the cutting chamber. The machines can be direct-fed with a forklift or conveyor, or by hand. An inspection flap on top of the unit provides access for maintenance or removal of foreign objects.
