V27 Designed for the individual inspection of bottles and containers, Mettler-Toledo's machine vision system uses multiple cameras and proprietary software to detect defects involving a variety of characteristics, including ovality, and shoulder, thread, base and gate structures. It includes an automasking function that prevents interference from the outer edges of a container from triggering false rejects. It can be easily programmed to adjust its inspections to accommodate different parameters.
What's new? The system.
Benefits Flexibility, precision and versatility. Using the system's touch-screen HMI, operators can easily program changeovers. For instance, in just five steps, an operator can reprogram the system so that it adjusts conveyors, lights and cameras to perform inspections of 250-ounce bottles, instead of 25-ounce bottles. To improve precision, it can be equipped with telecentric lenses that reduce the risk that its distance from a container will affect its readings.
