Screw conveyor Flexicon's newest flexible screw conveyor is mounted on a frame with locking casters. The conveyor is appropriate for users that handle either free- or non-free-flowing bulk materials, including materials that can cake, pack, smear, seize or fluidize; users might include producers of PVC parts containing additives such as titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate or other powdery additives that require dust containment. The conveyor's contact surfaces are made of stainless steel that can be finished to meet sanitary standards, and an optional metal detector is available for installation below the conveyor outlet.
What's new? A multipurpose hood that can accept material from bags either suspended from forklifts or dumped manually. A valve atop the hood allows adjustments to material flow.
