Fluke's new sensor provides thermal images and information about voltages, current and temperature.

3550 FC Fluke's new sensor provides thermal images and information about voltages, current and temperature, which operators can use to make assessments about machine health. It works in conjunction with the company's cloud-based Condition Monitoring software platform, which pools and archives data. Users of the 3550 FC can set alarms to notify them when the device identifies out-of-parameter conditions.

What's new? The 3550 FC, which Fluke announced in August. The mountable unit is the first Fluke device that can visualize thermal patterns on multiple machines, such as a couple of motors arranged side by side.

Benefits Convenient, real-time, comprehensive monitoring of machine health. The thermal imaging sensor is compact, so it can be mounted in places that would be too difficult or dangerous for technicians to reach. Also, the device has separate modes allowing users to either capture the most accurate images over a period of 11 hours to 14 hours, or sequential images over a period of three days.
