Kaeser air-distribution system reduces costs

Kaeser Compressors has introduced a compressed-air-distribution system that can be easily integrated into existing systems.

SmartPipe+ Kaeser Compressors has introduced a compressed-air-distribution system that can be easily integrated into existing steel, copper or aluminum systems and can be modified to accommodate changing needs. Ideal for headers, branch lines and drops to point of use, SmartPipe+ is made from smooth, calibrated aluminum that is powder-coated outside and will not rust. It is available in five sizes with outside diameters ranging from 0.75 inch to 2.5 inches, and can handle pressures up to 232 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) and temperatures from minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. The system comes with a 10-year warranty and includes all accessories, including elbows, tees, cross connectors, ball valves, quick-assembly brackets and hangers.

What's new? The system.

Benefits Lower installation and operating costs, compared to threaded steel, copper and other aluminum compressed-air-distribution systems. The smooth interior and no-leak fittings ensure low pressure drop and prevent contaminant build-up; pressure drop is the main cause of increased energy consumption and underperforming air-driven tools and equipment. The combination of lightweight materials and connectors dramatically reduces labor and installation time, especially in overhead installations. Also, the robust design allows the system to withstand harsh environments without leaking or cracking.
