Micro-Epsilon's combiSensor combines an eddy current sensor with a capacitive displacement sensor to take precise, noncontact thickness measurements.

combiSensor Micro-Epsilon's combiSensor combines an eddy current sensor with a capacitive displacement sensor to take precise, noncontact thickness measurements of plastic films and insulators, such as plastic coatings on metal sheets.

What's new? The sensor, which became available in June.

Benefits Accuracy and heat resistance. Because it uses two methods to take the measurement, the sensor compensates for mechanical changes such as thermal expansion, while its ability to withstand high temperatures allows it to maintain accuracy even when ambient temperatures fluctuate.
