VHX-6000 This new digital microscope from Keyence combines the abilities of stereoscopic, metallurgical, electron and measuring microscopes into one unit. It can be used to inspect molded parts for flash and short shots, measure scratches and to analyze failed parts and surface textures. Applications include testing of multilayer film, medical devices and automotive components. The microscope offers a large depth-of-field and allows the user to view an object from multiple angles. It captures fully focused flat and 3-D images in as little as 1 second and features the company's RZ series of high-resolution lenses.
What's new? The microscope, which became available earlier this year, and various new inspection features, including ISO contamination measurement and ASTM-compliant grain analysis. Also, the VHX-6000 includes a multi-lighting function, which makes it faster and easier to get the correct lighting for a fully focused image. Compared to other models in the VHX line, it is simpler to operate, thanks to a revised control panel and software.
