    LA500 This new injection-nozzle leak alarm system from Airtect Plastic Leak Alarm System, Dublin, provides protection against plastic leaking from the injection nozzle of a molding machine.

    What's new? U.S. availability of the Airtect devices, thanks to an agreement with Plastixs, which began selling them after the K show.

    Benefits Cost-effective nozzle and barrel protection. The $595 device, which features a simple-to-change Teflon tube end and programmable machine interlocks, is easy to install and provides fast payback. It lowers the risk of damage, bad-part production and downtime.
