Latest inductive proximity sensors boast compact size

Carlo Gavazzi's new, extra-short inductive proximity sensors have diameters of 12mm, thread lengths of 23mm and overall housing lengths as short as 25mm.

ICB12S Carlo Gavazzi's new, extra-short inductive proximity sensors have diameters of 12mm, thread lengths of 23mm and overall housing lengths as short as 25mm. They have status LEDs that are visible from any direction, a wide operating temperature range and a high switching frequency, going through 2,000 on-off detection cycles a second. In a plastics processing or recycling plant, the sensors can be used to detect moving machine parts while ignoring the presence of plastics. Though often installed by original equipment manufacturers, the parts are often retrofitted, added or changed by plant operators. The sensor on the left has sensing range of up to 4mm, while the one on the right has a sensing range of up to 8mm — the line's maximum distance.

What's new? The extra-short sensors, which were added to the ICB line last month.

Benefits Accuracy, repeatability and compact size. The sensors are ideal for tight spaces.
