6X Visual Sepro has added four robots to its six-axis line. The new, articulated-arm models are designed to serve injection molding machines with clamping forces from 880 to 5,500 tons. The two smaller models are designed to sit on the floor next to the press, while the two larger units can be shelf-mounted on top of the fixed platen or on the wall. Shown is the largest model, the 6X-400, which has a reach radius of slightly more than 13 feet and a maximum payload of 265 pounds. For comparison, the smallest of the new models, the 6X-205, has a reach of 81 inches and a payload of 110 pounds. All the robots are driven by Sepro's Visual 3 control, which is used for the company's entire product line.

What's new? The robots, which debuted at the K show and were made in collaboration with Yaskawa, Kitakyushu, Japan, as part of a partnership the companies formed earlier this year.

Benefits Flexibility and a compact, streamlined design.
